Like windy winter terrain

The desisting sunshine comes through the clouds just barely enough to make anyone want Spring. But it's still winter...
So what's a girl to do but turn to a muted palette of patent blacks, marvelous mauves, baby pinks, stoned whites, and lacey sorts of grays? I actually really love all of those colors together, and am thrilled to wear them.

A perfect outfit composed of those colors probably goes something like this:

Chanel bag, Miu Miu headband, Mango dress, etc...

Still the colors remind of me of winter, and in a good way. These photos are amazing.

you are my sunshine

Everytime I see a cute or interesting pair of sunglasses I almost purchase them. But I don't. And that's because however many sunglasses I have I never wear any of them. They sit on the corner of my dresser staring back at me. I know so many people that have TONS, much much more than me, of sunglasses. Most people have one pair that they wear sometimes and a couple others that just sit. This summer I haven't bought one single pair. Now, there are some people who indulge themselves totally in wearing sunglasses. I don't know anybody personally, but you know those pop culture celebrities that wear their sunglasses everywhere they go. A lot of girls at my school have knock-off Chanel sunglasses, but they don't actually wear them. They carry them around like some sort of treasure.

Anyway, if i were to have my choice of any sunglasses out there, regardless of whether I'd wear them of not, I'd pick these lovely Sonia Rykiel sunglasses:

Besides sunglasses, lately I really want a change of wardrobe. I really want to wear something like this:

It's unlikely I would ever wear heels like that though. I've been trying to find a romper for ages, but all of the ones I spot are either out of price range or really look quite ridiculous.

The cat who loved socks... in the most unusual way

I remember the first time i saw someone socks and heels together. It was in a magazine, of course. I stared at each picture for at least ten minutes trying to figure out how I could put together that trend. The particular photo editorial I fell fast for was from teen vogue. I can't remember what issue it was, and I could only find three pictures of the bunch, but here they are:

I tried wearing socks with a pair of chunky heels I picked up at my local target. Of course I got commentary from the load of girls who always have something to say about what I'm wearing -- the gangster sweatpants girls. I don't know, they sort of humor me.

Some other ways to wear socks and heels:

Another thing I really like at the moment is leopard print tights thrown under denim shorts. Who knows if this is "in" now, all I know is that when put together with a simple outfit, leopard print tights can make you look off-duty model-esque. See below:

I often change the style of my wardrobe. For this coming school year I think I'm going to be wearing a lot of formal skirts with tee shirts. Something like this:

I just love how you can pair an indie tee shirt with a skirt and it looks so put together. Of course the knotted headbands and bags help out. Another thing i really want to experiment with is a dress or skirt with feathers on the bottom. Unfortunately real feathers are very expensive and it's super hard to find anything with fake feathers. I do have a real feeather boa and I actually tried wrapping that around my bottom as a skirt. hahahahaha! I looked like some rare exotic bird. And i do not mean that in a good way. So I have taken on the task of making a skirt myself! I got a simple skirt pattern at the store and after i finnish with it I'm going to sew feathers on it. It should be interesting. Pictures to come!

So?

So, I've decided to come back into the blogging scene again. Yeah yeah, i never really was in, was I? Just one post... But it's summer and my days are filled with less and less things to do and more and more time for new things. So why not? So like any fashion addict i managed to get a polyvore account. I LOVE that website. Here's my link for blogging's sake. I mean, that's what bloggers do right?

HERE YOU ARE!

Here are a couple sets I've made --

Polyvore in my opinion is much, much, more interesting than facebook or myspace.
The only thing is... I think I've made so many that people are getting sick of my style. Because now i barely get any favorites. I guess 5 to 6 sets a day was overdoing it. But hey, that's me. Always overdoing it!
