Last night, as I was looking through my music on Itunes, I started craving Amy Winehouse. Since my speakers were broken, I knew I could not listen to anything! So I spotted my camera from across the room, and sort of had a flash back to all those beehive/BIG hair tutorial videos I've been watching lately... and thought: AMY WINEHOUSE PHOTO TIME!

It (being the hair) looked bigger in person. Excuse my current outfit in the photos, as it is not as avant garde as some of the fashion bloggers I've been reading lately... Just a zebra print shift dress and white sweater. This is the best video I've seen for attempting any hair of this sort:

Long live the friendship of Karl and Amy!

Vintage tattoos and such

Usually, I am not a fan of tattoo print clothing. Actually most of the time I reel back in horror upon seeing it. Especially those Ed Hardy t-shirts. Oh, God help anyone who pays more than $100 for something like this:

Earlier, I was making my rounds of online shopping(believe me there are NO good stores around where I live) and I saw this in the new arrivals section at Betsey Johnson:

I have to say I really "dig" it. From far away the heart things sort of look like Jupiter or something. Betsey Johnson, I love you. Another thing I've never liked until it's been Betsey-fied. I'll have to add that to the list along with blue leopard print and black corset mini dresses.
I remember seeing a similar dress while looking at the fall 08 runway photos on style.com, and it was paired with knee socks! Which in my opinon made the whole emsamble look 237489734X cuter than ever.

Wizard of OZ

So, I've done a few posts on Alice and Wonderland with editorials, and given my opinion about the influence the theme has on fashion. But now I've found this editorial from Vogue focused on the Wizard of Oz.

My favorite is probably the photo with the flying thing (what was it, flying monkies?). I think Alice has more of an influence on fashion, and is far more interesting though. Comments, musings?

The pursuit of fafiness

I remember being so excited when i heard MAC cosmetics was coming out with a Fafi collection. But then I never ended up buying anything...
And I remember hearing about the T-shirts... but I never ended up buying anything. But I do love fafi, a lot. So post is going to be sort of a homage to how much I adore fafi.

Giant hearts painted under the eyes and striped knee socks galore! How much more fun can you get?
Currently I am considering of a fafinette halloween party... !

Clad with her Cavalli coca-cola...

Fashion Designer and icon Roberto Cavalli has designed a collection of three bottles for Coca-Cola light which will be available in Italy from September to December.

Glam, huh?

While on the subject of Roberto Cavalli, the other day I was browsing some photos of the resort 09 collection, and have decided I love the printed pants! I think I'm going to try to find some hideous floral printed pants and make them chic.

Those leopard print pants are pretty cool too. I think printed pants is going to be a big trend for fall. Must find some...

Reasons for not posting: I've moved houses. Right now, most of my house looks like this:

As you can see above, I am in the pink tutu holding the teddy bear. That's the one thing I can't face losing in the mess. Ah, unpacking....

Performance

I came across this editorial that I liked from Vogue Paris. I especially like the contrast in some of the photos of placing one model not exactly next to the other, but rather behind by a few feet. And knowing me I found a strange song to pair with it.
