The idea of fashion is so, so broad. It is history, it is rhetoric, it is geography and mathematics. Fashion has changed history, and history has changed fashion. Rhetoric is directed towards people in different ways according to what they are wearing, and that has always been true. Geography effects the way we wear, and of course, a whole lotta mathematics go into the construction of a garment. So, when I get tired of seeing Balmain and Alexander Wang, I tend to look to other sources. Fashion exists everywhere, because it is what we wear- and everyone wears something- whether it be a loincloth or a Versace gown.
