One of my favorite photo editorials from Vogue Paris.
I LOVE everything about this. The clothing of course is phenomenal. The hair is gorgeous. I love the waves and that blonde color is really stunning. The photography and storyline is very unique. I love imagining a bunch of glamzons in the supermarket buying groceries. Every model in this editorial looks effortlessly cool, like they have adventures like that every day.

Shoe gazing... inspriration
"Change your shoes, change your life."
I would LOVE to do this one day. Go out and primarily look at people's shoes and take pictures. It's too bad the only thing I'd get around here is pictures of tennis shoes and Birkenstocks.
I love the look of Balenciaga's f/w 08 shoes. But to my surprise many people are saying they look "wearable"? Okay, look at the sharpness of the shoe, that alone should indicate discomfort. Pointed heels are never that comfortable, obviously because our toes and feet are not naturally that shape. Look at how thin the heel on the 2nd one is. The first heel isn't as thin, but it doesn't exactly look comforting. So in conclusion, yes, the Balenciaga heels are WEARABLE. If you love large amounts of pain.

The cat who loved socks... in the most unusual way
I remember the first time i saw someone socks and heels together. It was in a magazine, of course. I stared at each picture for at least ten minutes trying to figure out how I could put together that trend. The particular photo editorial I fell fast for was from teen vogue. I can't remember what issue it was, and I could only find three pictures of the bunch, but here they are:
I tried wearing socks with a pair of chunky heels I picked up at my local target. Of course I got commentary from the load of girls who always have something to say about what I'm wearing -- the gangster sweatpants girls. I don't know, they sort of humor me.
Some other ways to wear socks and heels:
Another thing I really like at the moment is leopard print tights thrown under denim shorts. Who knows if this is "in" now, all I know is that when put together with a simple outfit, leopard print tights can make you look off-duty model-esque. See below:

Kate Moss
I have always loved kate moss' rock and roll chic style. I came across this editorial from Paris Vogue 2005.
Fantastic or what? I also love the way the collage is put together and the fonts they used. You can click the photos to enlarge them if you wish.
P.S. experimenting with make-up trends --

Fall/winter fashion 2009
THE LIST-- (in toujoursenvogue's opinion)
hats, round glasses, any other kind of glasses, formal skirts, artsy/indie teeshirts, fur, chunky heels, CONSTRUCTION, texture! (feathers, ruffles, fur, which ever you prefer), peep-toe shoe boots, mary-janes, stars and moons, headbands, doc martens, cardigans, acid wash, hero theme, latex, studs.
