Marc Jacobs Resort 2011

Marc Jacobs successfully and continually delivers each collection with an American twist season after season. That he, as a designer, can take an global idea or image and convey it while still incorporating the rapidly dying origins of classic American fashion is pretty amazing. It's no wonder MJ has earned himself his third Womenswear Designer of the Year Award from CFDA. For the resort collection, Jacobs took the so lately a-la-mode idea of "1960's Vacation in St. Tropez" and transformed it into a modern day searing tailoring and point-on classic Chanel references while still retaining his ever original Marc Jacobs style.

Bottega Veneta Resort 2010

It's that time of the year again! Resort collection time! The intriguing thing about the resort collections is that they are known to bring in higher profits than other other collection, though there a few designers who present resort collections. But, oh, how I love Bottega Veneta. Really, it's Commercial luxury innovated by the slightest minor details, wrapped together and put in luxurious little box. It's heavy idealism of Italian fashion. This particular resort collection holds much color for Botegga Veneta; it's oranges, reds, and pinks vs. the standard nudes and blacks. Così bello!

Clad with her Cavalli coca-cola...

Fashion Designer and icon Roberto Cavalli has designed a collection of three bottles for Coca-Cola light which will be available in Italy from September to December.

While on the subject of Roberto Cavalli, the other day I was browsing some photos of the resort 09 collection, and have decided I love the printed pants! I think I'm going to try to find some hideous floral printed pants and make them chic.






Those leopard print pants are pretty cool too. I think printed pants is going to be a big trend for fall. Must find some...
